Used Bikes:
Occasionally we have stock. They usually sell fast.
Consignment:
Yes. We will sell a bike on consignment.
Standard fee is 20%.
We reserve the right to say no.
All bikes will be ride ready with wear items replaced as new. The seller is responsible for costs associated with making a bike ride ready. We do not sell bikes that might need a repair or have worn items. We will not sell a bike if the next owner has to turn around and pay for repairs soon after purchase. Bikes may still be subject to a consignment fee after repairs.
Layaway:
Yes. A non-refundable 10% deposit is required. 90 day maximum terms. Payments required every 30 days or sooner. Late payments are subject to cancellation of the agreement.
eBikes (Electronic Bikes)
Yes! We stock and sell those too.
We have several brands and styles of eBikes on hand and available to order.
Trikes and Recumbents / eTrikes and eRecumbents
We do not stock these but we have some available. If you believe you are in the market for a trike or recumbent, please stop by and have a conversation with us. Trikes and recumbents are fantastic for riders with physical limitations but many trikes or recumbents are not ideal for our hills and terrain. If you are unsure, let us help you make an informed decision.
Service
Diagnostics:
Free. As long as we are not with another customer, we will take a look while you are here.
It is best to bring your entire bike. Sometimes we cannot diagnose without seeing other parts of the bike.
Rates:
Shop minimum $15
Hourly $50, charged per half hour
Most repairs are a flat rate based on time, knowledge, skill, and tools required.
Shop minimum if you order parts online and ask us to install is $25.
Often, we can get the parts you want for the same cost or cheaper.
We do not price match online prices. Counterfeit parts are real. Our suppliers guarantee the authenticity of the part.
Common repairs:
Tire/Tube Replacement - $15.
We do not patch tubes. Patches are meant to get you home. Not serve as a permanent repair.
Tune-ups - $85
Tune-ups are charged a la carte until they exceed $85.
Wheel truing - Starting at shop minimum.
Specialty service:
These services require an in person conversion.
Wheel building
Custom spec bikes
Suspension work:
We can replace most external parts or install new suspension
Internal service work will be subbed out to another shop. If you need internal work, we will recommend a shop who specializes in the repair you need.
(It is common for shops to do this. Internal suspension work is often a specialty shop who might not offer other services).
Dropper Posts:
Installs and some repairs. It depends on the brand of dropper and design. Some are best serviced by a suspension shop.
eBike Service
Remove the battery and bring the key, if applicable.
Currently, there is minimal enforcement for battery safety. We cannot allow batteries to come in the building if we do not know if it is safe. This does not mean you have a dangerous battery, this only means that we cannot guarantee it is safe.
Exceptions: Bosch, Shimano, Fazua, Mahle, and other major brands like Trek, Giant, Specialized. These brands are adhering to industry best practices. These are permissible to enter the building.
We do not work on electronics.
The only diagnostics we can perform on electronics are brands that we sell. Diagnostic equipment for eBike drive systems is expensive and proprietary from brand to brand. Currently, there are hundreds of brands of eBike motors on the market.
eBike Conversions:
We will not build a traditional bike into an eBike with an aftermarket kit.
We discourage this practice unless the customer is capable of doing almost all the work on their own. Conversions are time consuming and require ongoing tweaks to get it done correctly. There is no way we can guarantee it is going to work properly.
Trikes and Recumbents:
Yes! We work on these too.
We are limited on space and might not have repair parts on hand.
A phone call is nice and helps us make room for a trike if needed, but no big deal if you walk in. Always happy to help.
